City haven, London

A little spruce up!

The owner of this london property wanted a simple, low cost, spruce up of this outside space at their Battersea maisonette. A rather tired unloved area was given a new lease of life with some paving, gravel and a stepping stone path. Some re-shaping of the flower beds and new planting has created a peaceful space for the owners to sit and enjoy the outdoors after a hard days work. The planting was kept simple with Rose ‘The Mayflower’ (prickly enough to keep neighbourhood cats off the flowerbeds!), Luzula nivea and Hydrangea Annabelle to provide a long season of interest. A new camellia will give some late winter colour and Honeysuckle, Jasmine, Clematis and Roses will soon cover the walls with flower and scent.

A simple, peaceful city haven that is easy to maintain.
